Badlands National Park is a US National Park located in southwest South Dakota. It preserves 242,756 acres (98,240 ha) of sharply eroded hills, pinnacles and spiers blended with the largest protected mixed grass prairie in the United States. The park has geologic deposits containing one of the world’s richest fossil beds.
