The Dome of the Rock (Arabic: مسجد قبة الصخرة‎, Masjid Qubbat As-Sakhrah; Hebrew: כיפת הסלע‎, Kipat Hasela) is a famous Islamic shrine in Jerusalem, built between 687 and 691 by the 9th Caliph, Abd al-Malik.
