Date of birth

Floyd Nolen Jones infers that David was born in 2919 AM and fought and killed Goliath of Gath when he was eighteen years old (2937 AM). David was the youngest of eight brothers and was not of military age.[1] Abinadab was the second brother, so he was twenty-four years old and was born in 2913 AM.

History

The Bible mentions Abinadab three times: first when Samuel visited Bethlehem and anointed David as a future king (1_Samuel 16:4-13 ), second when the army of Israel watched as David fought and killed Goliath of Gath (1_Samuel 17:13 ), and third in the record of the descendants of Judah. (1_Chronicles 2:13 ).
