Genealogy
Date of birth
The Bible says nothing of the date of Carmi's birth. His grandfather Zerah was born in 2283 AM (Teveth 2283 AMJanuary 1720 BC
Teveth 2040 He
Teveth 2283 AM), and Achan must have been born in 2295 AM or later. (If he survived to enter the Promised Land, then he was not an adult in the year following the Exodus of Israel, 15 Abib 2513 AM30 March 1490 BC
16 Nisan 2270 He
15 Abib 2513 AM.) Therefore three generations between Zerah and Achan span 212 years. Thus Zerah, Zabdi, Carmi, and Achan were born about 71 years apart.
