Genealogy
Date of birth
Abigail is listed after Zeruiah in birth order (1_Chronicles 2:16 ), so she was probably born a year later, in 2903 AM.
History
Abigail married a man named Jether, who is variously described as an Israelite (2_Samuel 17:25 ) and an Ishmaelite (1_Chronicles 2:17 ). Her son Amasa took the side of Absalom in his rebellion against King David.[1] (2_Samuel 17:25 ) After Absalom was killed, David pardoned Amasa (2_Samuel 19:13 ), but Joel later murdered him. (2_Samuel 20:8-12 )
