Asher (Hebrew: אשר, ʼĀshēr; Greek: Ἀσήρ, Asēr; Latin: Aser; "Name means::happy)", (b. Born::Abib 2252 AM), was the second son of Jacob and Zilpah, the handmaid of Leah. He was the ancestor of the Tribe of Asher (Genesis 30:13 , Genesis 35:26 ).
Entry into Egypt
In Entry into Egypt::Teveth 2298 AM, Asher entered Egypt permanently, having visited Egypt twice before to buy grain during Famine in Egypt. He was 46 years old at the time and had four sons: father of::Jimnah, father of::Ishuah, father of::Isui, and father of::Beriah and a daughter: father of::Serah (Genesis 46:17 ).
