The Second Book of Maccabees or 2 Maccabees (Hebrew: 'ספר מקבים ב, Sēfer Maqabim Bet; Greek: Βίβλος Βʹ Μακκαβαίων, Biblōs Bēta Makkabaion; Latin: Liber Secundus Machabæorum), also called 2 Machabees, is one of the Deuterocanonical books included in the Septuagint that is considered canonical by Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Christians, but apocryphal by Protestants.
