Orientations show Specimen Creek fossil trees were transported (Talk.Origins)
From CreationWiki, the encyclopedia of creation science
- The prostrate trees in the Specimen Creek fossil forests show similar orientation. This is consistent with the trees having been transported (as by a flood), not with the trees having grown in place over many years.

CreationWiki response: (Talk.Origins quotes in blue)
1. Some trees in the Specimen Creek fossil forests have been transported, but others clearly grew in place, including those on Specimen Ridge.
Without more details, it appears that Talk.Origins is trying to have a bob each way with this one, granting that some were transported (which ones?) apparently in amongst others growing in place! Nevertheless, the upright fossil trees are oriented with their long axis in the same direction, even those that are alleged to have grown in place.
