(Redirected from Manasseh)
Manasseh (Hebrew: מנשה, Menasheh; Greek: Μανασσῆς, Manassēs; Latin: Manasse; "I cause to forget") is the name of two men and a tribe in the Bible:
- Manasseh (patriarch), son of Joseph, born in Egypt.
- Tribe of Manasseh -- descended from and named for the above.
- Manasseh King of Judah, who certainly "forgot" God until he was taken prisoner by Esarhaddon for a brief spell.
