Bible is intellectually honest (Talk.Origins)
From CreationWiki, the encyclopedia of creation science
- The Bible is unique in its intellectually (sic) honesty. Its characters have real personalities. It portrays flaws of its writers and details failures along with successes.
- Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, 1989. The Bible - God's Word or Man's? Brooklyn, NY, pp. 65-66
This is only useful in doing a comparison between the Bible and other ancient historical documents. It was common practice in ancient times to only record the successes of kings and ignore their failures. The fact that the Bible does not follow this pattern simply shows its record to be more trustworthy than those that do.
