Instincts are too complex to have evolved (Talk.Origins)
From CreationWiki, the encyclopedia of creation science
Instincts are too complex to have evolved. Scientists have no way of explaining complex instincts, such as migrations and nest building.
- Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, 1985. Life--How Did It Get Here? Brooklyn, NY, pp. 160-167.
As worded this claim is problematic, but then again Talk Origins cites the worst possible source. It is agreed that some instincts are simple and basic enough that once you have a living cell they are probably inevitable, but more complex instincts run afoul of Information theory and Statistical Thermodynamics.
