Endorphins at death indicate a beneficent creator, not evolution (Talk.Origins)
From CreationWiki, the encyclopedia of creation science
The body releases endorphins at death, making dying less traumatic. Evolution cannot explain this, because there is no selection pressure for a biological mechanism to help people die peacefully. But it does show evidence of a merciful creator.
- Easterbrook, Gregg, 9 Dec. 2003. NFL teams should hire psychics, and why, why, why are you punting?!
This is not a creationist claim, and the source is not a creationist source, but an article about football.
The claim is not intended as a scientific statement; the author is simply giving a personal opinion about the afterlife.
Talk Origins is really scraping the bottom of the barrel here. It just shows how desperate they are.
