This image (while usable) has an inaccurate "Copyright Status" statement. (You state: The image is public domain because it was first published by Micrographia and is free for non-profit use.)

The image is not in the "public domain" - only the author can declare it as such. In doing so, they wave all future rights to the image. They only said: "This image is free for non-profit use. Commercial end-users should email Micrographia for rights to high-resolution images suitable for publication and broadcast."
In stating it is public domain, you have altered the copyright holders permission statement. Be careful to include a permission statement verbatim (word for word) and provide the source link where that permission can be found.
