Currently, I am 27 years old, married and have two children; one beautiful one-year-old daughter and one on the way (due in July). My main occupation is software engineering, but I am also a youth director for our local church in Maricopa, Arizona and studying to become a licensed pastor. I've known Christ for about 18 years and am excited to have been placed on earth for such a time as this to share Him with others.

I became a young-earth creationist when completing my undergraduate Computer Science degree at Northern Arizona University. I was always uneasy with the inconsistencies between my public school science class lessons and what the bible states about history because I knew the God of the bible and that secular history does not match up with His character. A defining moment that started my journey to trust God's word in Genesis began after one of my final university philosophy classes. The professor had just finished his pro-agnostic lecture about us (humans) not being able to know if God exists and that evolution makes more sense of the evidence than creationism. I walked out of that class very frustrated when God spoke very clearly to me from 1 Cor. 1:25. He said "Josh, my foolishness is greater than man's greatest wisdom. Trust my word." After this, I began to examine the evidence from a biblical perspective and (to my surprise) learned that science, when properly interpreted, not only confirms a relatively young world like the bible records, but explains the evidence much better than an old-earth/evolutionary standpoint!

That was about 5 years ago. Since then, I have been holding to God's word, beginning to end and making sure the teenagers that I lead know the truth about the origin and nature of this created universe.
