Have been walking with the Lord 35 years and enjoy writing. My degrees have been in psychology, but my interests are wider. God's answers to life's issues and questions are typically suprising because He comes to us from His own perspective. Jesus literally came as was written; but wasn't believed because His form wasn't what we expected. So too, I believe, creation. The creation story wss dictated to Moses by God and He had no other motivation but to tell His story. Christians have few options. Either to reject scientific discoveries, or to adjust the Biblical record to make allowances for these discoveries. God's answers often are not either/or, but a blending of the two. What I believe the Lord has shown me is a framework which allows for fossils and carbon dating, while holding to the Biblical record. It requires a fundamental shift in our thinking, just like the middle ages needed to leave a geocentric paradigm to embrace a heliocentric view. Old thinking dies hard, however.
