Well the most important thing certainly isn't being a creationist, the truly important thing is being a Christian. I was saved at the age of 15, after years of thinking I was a Christian just because I went to church. Leaping forward 4 years, I now go to a 100% Bible believing church and God has even allowed me and some friends to teach children the truth about creation and that they can trust the Word with their soul. I do not have a degree yet, but in 3 years I will have a degree in either biology or zoology. I'm in a course right now that focuses on doing good research and making honest arguments, so I'm sure that this could be useful to the cause here too.
