A toxicant is any toxic substance.[1] and can be poisonous. Toxicants can be man-made or naturally occurring.[2] Toxicants are manufactured and extracted chemicals, such as pesticides, cleaning agents, emissions, mining or industrial by-products, etc., that are in our environment.
