Talk:Oil formation
Trouble finding some information
I'm looking for a reference to the pressures and temperatures oil is found in underground when drilled for. I have lost the link I have used in the past when discussing this. And have done several searches and cannot seem to find it, or another reference. Whether the search engines have discarded these pages, or I'm not using the correct words for this search. So help in finding a reference to place in one section of this article is needed. Any help would greatly be appreciated.Ikester7579 21:16, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
- I looked up the reference on a forum I used to debate. I found the link. Problem is, the page has been deleted, and the site has become a membership type site. This has happened more than once on the information I used for creation. I have to wonder if this is evolutionist's way of blocking such information being used to promote creation.[http://creationwiki.org/User_talk:Ikester7579 Talk] 01:32, 7 July 2007 (EDT)
Here's another article I stumbled upon once that has a bearing on the subject. It takes a while to load, though. The main point of the article is that peak oil is a myth. --Zephyr Axiom 12:43, 7 July 2007 (EDT)
- It is just a liberal website: http://www.vialls.com/ They will say and claim anything to promote there cause. And this really has nothing to do with oil that can be made quickly. But the site is entertaining, and also that the guy asks for money in a donation type form. But yet is not a 501c3.[http://creationwiki.org/User_talk:Ikester7579 Talk] 10:06, 8 July 2007 (EDT)
- That Vialls.com website really looks un-credible. Seems to me it is a conspiracy type archive based on news and contemporary events. Be careful about linking to sites like that from CreationWiki, I am sure Chris would agree we want more scientific and credible websites. Always check Pubmed Central [1], or Creation-Evolution Headlines [2].
- Speaking of Creation-Evolution Headline, I found a article about oil by searching for it... Here is the link [3], if you go, browse for news on the date of 08/13/2002 and it is there. Anyway, here are some more links for you, [4], [5], I will keep looking. --Tony Sommer 13:46, 8 July 2007 (EDT)
- Glad I didn't put it in the article then. Like I said, it was stumble. It was entertaining indeed, but yeah, he was asking for donations. --Zephyr Axiom 15:09, 8 July 2007 (EDT)
- An entertaining stumble indeed, hehe --Tony Sommer 15:13, 8 July 2007 (EDT)
It does seem funny that as soon as I used this information to promote creation, and the flood. All the pages that listed such information just vanished, or information was removed.[http://creationwiki.org/User_talk:Ikester7579 Talk] 02:42, 9 July 2007 (EDT)
hydrothermal oil
I found more evidence of quick oil. And they cannot debunk this evidence. There are several write ups on this issue. And the process can be observed, and I supplied video evidence of this.[http://creationwiki.org/User_talk:Ikester7579 Talk] 04:09, 6 November 2007 (EST)
Edits
Excellent start. This is an important topic.
The article contains coversational language (questions and fragmented sentences) that should be edited out. Most of the external links should also be converted to <refs>. I edited the opening statement to give you an example of the Footnote format.
