Mendel a Creationist: I've long claimed that Mendel rejected Darwinism (he read and apparently wrote notes on Origin of Species). However, it appears I've taken this "on faith" when Mendel's name has appeared in other creationist literature. After searching the larger creation websites, I can't find any quotes from any original source to substantiate that Mendel rejected Darwin.

Unless we can source the claim that he was a creationist, the implication being that he was not persuaded by Darwin, we should consider qualifying the description of him as a creationist. BobEnyart 06:16, 2 September 2012 (PDT)
