Historians and archaeologist have erroneously credited the Hyksos with the introduction of the horse drawn chariot to Egypt as no evidence if the chariot in previous dynasties can be found.  The Bible records that all Chariots prior to the Exodus were lost in the Red Sea.  Most of the 12 dynasty artwork in which chariots would have been depicted has been lost as it was painted and not carved.

No discoveries horse drawn chariots have been found prior to the 15th dynasty. This would tend to suggest that the Exodus took place just before the 15th dynasty.  One would not expect to find chariots of dynasties prior to the Exodus because they were all destroyed at the time of the Exodus.
