Egnor began to question evolutionary theory after reading Michael Denton's book Evolution: A Theory in Crisis.[2] Egnor appeared in the film Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed by Ben Stein. He is present in the list named "A Scientific Dissent From Darwinism".[3][4] In 2007 Egnor joined the Evolution News and Views (ENV) team.[5] Egnor maintains a blog named Egnorance.
One of his most prominent cases involved a two-year-old boy whose head was smashed. Egnor successfully completed the complicated surgery using innovative techniques. The suffering has been documented by several news outlets, including Newsday and Good Morning America.[6] The case was published in New York Magazine in 2005 under the title "Best Doctors".[7]
