The tunicate, or also known as the "sea squirts" are apart of the phlyum chordata, and the subphylum chordata. There are five differrent classes that was found which are: appendicularia, ascidiacea, larvacea, sorberacea, and the thaliacea class. The tunicates usually stay in one place most of there life, which means there are sessile organisms. They live on rocks, towards the bottom of the ocean most of the time. Tunicates sometimes even form large colonies, where they all live together, very tightly. Tunicates are able to reproduct asexually and sexually. Tunicates have been found as fossils before, and some parts of the tunicates can be used as cancer-fighting medical purposes. There are a vast amount of varieties of tunicates icluding the blue bell tunicate (Clavelina puertosecensis), the light bulb tunicate (Clavelina oblonga), the translucent tunicate (Ciona intestinalis) and more.
