The Acts of Union of 1707 were two companion acts of Parliament that brought England, Scotland, and Wales together into one country, the United Kingdom of Great Britain. This property gives the date on which these two Acts took effect. (Until that time, the Stuart kings, followed by the Hanover kings, had been kings of England and Scotland but were not formally called kings of a united kingdom.)
