Summary

Here is a picture of an Arrenurus freshwater mite. Mites are one of the smallest arthropods.

A 6 image stack of an Arrenurus freshwater mite. 4X lomo, side illumination with external flash. Ring of white paper placed around the slide for light diffusion.

The mite was placed in a vial and stored in the fridge for several hours and then released back into the jar of pond water after the photo session.
