Summary

This picture was taken in the University of Leicester Botanic Garden which is on Glebe Road in Oadby, Leicester, England and is open to the public.

The gladiolus flower is a member of the iris family, and resembles the blade of a sword - hence the name Gladiolus, coming from the latin word meaning Sword.
